About Me
I grew up on a family farm in southern Indiana, which taught me the value of persistence, hard work, and community. Today, I balance those roots with my passion for finance, entrepreneurship, and exploring new experiences. This page shares a little more about who I am outside the classroom and workplace.
Story
I grew up on my family farm in a small town in southern Indiana alongside my mom, dad, and sister. It was the kind of place where I knew everyone, and my graduating class was only a handful of people. I spent my childhood playing soccer and swimming, always trying new things. I loved working on cars, staying active outside, and chasing new knowledge wherever I could find it.
From a young age, I wanted to go to Purdue to become an engineer. But as my passion for finance grew and my interest in engineering declined, I made the decision to switch majors the summer before my sophomore year. Since then, I’ve discovered how much I enjoy finance. From building financial models to thinking deeply about the value of money and its impact on happiness and life.
Coming from such a small town, arriving at Purdue was eye-opening. I was blown away by the diversity of people and perspectives, and it’s expanded how I see the world. I’ve met incredible friends from all over, including roommates who have become like family and even a friend in Brazil who I had the chance to visit. These experiences have given me new perspectives and made me strive for more growth and learning.
At heart, I’ve always been drawn to entrepreneurship. Not just for the challenge, but because of its power to create dramatic change in people’s lives and in the world. I admire an industry where success is fueled by passion and energy, and I try to bring that mindset into everything I do. My goal is to use that drive to inspire the people I work with and, eventually, to create positive and meaningful change in people’s day-to-day lives.
Travel
Travel has always been exciting for me, not just because of the new places I get to see but because of the perspective it gives me. Experiencing different cultures has taught me to take more risks, stay open minded, and approach challenges with a broader way of thinking.
Along the way, I have met amazing people, learned from their cultures, and shared incredible food. These experiences remind me to look at the bigger picture and appreciate the moment.
